So many sea creatures to see today! We started by making sharks to model after the counselor’s costumes. Then we were off to the beach to see what sea creatures we could find. The campers had a snack before we started our boat competition. They released their boats into the water, and all floated! Then, the CITs planned water games for the campers as their special activity. They did a water relay game and drip drip drop. Then, the campers explored the shore and found over 130 hermit crabs! The counselors were working on finding a puffer fish in the water. After the beach, we walked back to camp to have lunch. A Del’s truck came by today in honor of one of our campers’ birthdays. The campers all enjoyed Del’s before our special activity for the afternoon. Our special activity was having a piñata for the camper’s birthday! The campers all took a turn swinging at our shark piñata. They all got a couple of prizes to take him with them. We ended the day with campfire. Next week is the last week of camp!
