Blithewold is privileged to partner with local yoga studios to offer a rare opportunity to participate in an inspiring outdoor yoga practice. We have selected the perfect spot under a canopy of trees, amidst the gardens overlooking Narragansett Bay. Each of our partner studios offer a variety of yoga practices. We’ll work with you to select the session that’s perfectly suited for your group.

Kitchen Cupboard Medicine (Spice Up Your Life)…focuses on the medicinal benefits of the common culinary herbs people use everyday but most don’t know the medicinal benefits of. This class also focuses on the history of spice use in the world and how spices were the catalyst for world exploration. (Fee for groups of 8 – 20 visitors $200, includes materials)

Course Instructor Bonnie Kavanagh has worked in both the allopathic and complementary healthcare fields for over 35 years, both as a registered nurse and a community herbalist. She is one of the founding members of the Ocean State Herbal Association and past board member of the Northeast Herbal Association. She has been a regular presenter at the renowned International Herbal Symposium held biennially at Wheaton College. She is also a current executive board member of the Hope Street Farmers Market in Providence, RI. She also brings many years of experience as a plantswoman to her classes and programs. She is currently the Community Herbalist at Seven Arrows Farm, Seekonk, Massachusetts.
