Week Three, Day Five: Pirate Day
Argh was the sound heard today! The campers started by making cards for first responders with the CITs as a part of their community service project and special activity. The second activity the CITs planned for the campers was to make pirate hooks. The campers loved to add them to their costumes. Then we went outside to have a snack on the great lawn. Then we went back inside the camp where a mysterious clue was left. The pirates of Blithewold struck again this year and left our campers with a scavenger hunt to find their missing gold. The campers all worked as a group to find the nine clues before discovering the loot back at camp. Each camper got to take home a piece of the old pirates’ treasure. After lunch, we played some water games to cool off. We ended the day with our awards ceremony and campfire. Better weather is on the way for next week! Check out the pillaging thieves below!
